Stephanie Cosgrove

Stephanie Cosgrove holds a podiatry degree with Honours from QUT (1990) in addition to a Master of Health Science majoring in podiatry.This was completed in 1996, also from QUT. A further two post graduate qualifications have given her expertise in the use of ultrasound onsite to evaluate foot conditions and injuries and the ability to prescribe scheduled medicines, including injection of corticosteroids into painful foot and ankle structures. During her studies, Stephanie was awarded several university prizes, including the prestigious C.W.Graves award for excelling in orthotic design and manufacture. She has built on this knowledge to patent internationally, a new type of corrective orthotic device called a Copythotic. Stephanie has been in private practice since 1991 and has spent several years studying and assisting in foot surgery. Stephanie’s primary professional interests lies in pain relief, especially in those for whom prior interventions have failed. Her ongoing area of study centres around nerve pain and the solutions to intractable pain.

Having 35 years of experience, and as the Walk Without Pain! group’s consultant podiatrist, patients may choose to consult Stephanie about complex foot problems. She holds a Master’s degree in Podiatry and post graduate qualifications in Therapeutics (Ability to prescribe S4 medicines). and Ultrasonography. Conditions may including the following:

  • Foot pain, particularly if debilitating, long term or resistant to previous treatments.
  • Painful nail conditions that have resisted other treatments.
  • The effect of foot problems on body mechanics, particularly in causing knee, hip, back and shoulder pain.
  • Pre-surgical discussion of surgical and non-surgical options.
  • Post-surgical management.
  • Shock wave therapy / ESWT / extracorporeal shock wave therapy and high powered laser for plantar fasciitis, heel pain, Achilles Tendon injuries and other soft tissue injuries of the foot ankle and leg.
  • Use of perineurial glucose injections to target pain syndromes unresponsive to other treatments.
  • To apply thoughtful consideration to complex cases

Stephanie has also written a reference book to provide doctors with a resource to better educate their patients. “Common Foot Disorders and their Effect on Body Mechanics” covers the 20 most common foot disorders and is available on this site under the “Info Sheets” tab. It can be used freely by doctor’s for their patients and individuals for their own use.

Jason Pullar

Jason gained his qualifications in 2001 from Queensland University of Technology after completing a Bachelor of Health Science – Podiatry. Since 2003, Jason has been an asset to the Walk Without Pain team, offering out of clinic home visits for his patients who are unable to visit the clinic due to disability. With a passion for all aspects of podiatry, Jason particularly enjoys focusing on diabetes care, paediatrics and sports/biomechanics. During his down time, Jason enjoys spending time hiking, camping and walking his dog with his wife and two sons.

Belinda Inglis

In 2006, Belinda completed her qualifications from Queensland University of Technology with a Bachelor of Health Science – Podiatry. Following her graduation, Belinda began her career in private practice in Hobart before returning to Brisbane and joining the Walk Without Pain team in 2008. In addition to her podiatry qualification, Belinda also has completed a Bachelor of Biomedical Science from Griffith University, and is due to complete a Graduate Certificate in Diabetic Education in 2018. Belinda has a focus in diabetic care and education, general palliative care and biomechanics, and is licensed in use of the Pinpointe laser for fungal nail infections.

Charlotte Chapman

Charlotte graduated from Auckland University of Technology in 2007 with a Bachelor of Health Science, Podiatry. She has worked in private practice in both Australia and the United Kingdom. Charlotte is a keen sports woman enjoying running, cycling and general fitness. She enjoys all aspects of podiatry with a special interest in sports injuries/biomechanics. Charlotte is also trained in the use of our Pinpointe laser for fungal nail infections.

Christian Matthews

In 2014, Christian graduated from Queensland University of Technology with a Bachelor of Podiatry (Honours). In addition to podiatry, Christian also holds a degree in education where he worked as a primary school teacher.  This background is understandable with his gentle and engaging nature when treating children. Due to his academic success in 2017, Christian also became the 12th podiatrist in the state to achieve the advanced qualification; Endorsed Prescriber of Scheduled Medicines. This qualifies him to perform advanced therapies such as corticosteroid injections, surgical wart removals and the treatment of infections with antibiotics.  By utilizing his additional training in diagnostic ultrasound, shockwave and injection therapies, Christian takes great please in successfully treating complex biomechanical and musculoskeletal conditions. In addition, Christian has been a Clinical Educator at the Queensland University of Technology since 2022 where he helps train final year podiatry students. Outside of podiatry, Christian has a passion for travelling with his young family.

Reece Logan

Reece graduated from QUT in 2015. He joined us straight from University and is a valued member of the team. His warmth and professionalism have endeared him to his patients and he always enjoys helping you to “Walk Without Pain’!

Nuria Nemesio Quer

Núria joined Walk without Pain Podiatry team in December 2020, having previously worked as a podiatrist in North Queensland for the prior 2 years. Núria Graduated from the University of Barcelona (Spain) with a Bachelor of Podiatry in 2015. 
She relocated to Australia to advance in her career and experience everything in beautiful oz. 
Within podiatry, she has an special interest in Sports injury management, children, biomechanics, prolotherapy injections, shockwave therapy, minor surgery for ingrown toenails and plantar warts . She enjoys seeing people back onto their feet with pain free again. She also participated as a podiatrist volunteering at Oxfam Intermon Trailwalker making sure the participants were able to finish.
In her spare time, Núria is a fitness instructor teaching yoga and pilates.

Jarrod McGuane

Jarrod graduated from QUT with a Bachelor of applied science (podiatry). He is a keen sports man, competing at a national level in discus and shot put. He has a special interest in treating soft tissue injuries and improving pain and function in patients suffering from foot, ankle and knee arthritis. Jarrod has a commitment to enhancing the quality of life of his patients and knows reducing pain and keeping active thoughout life is vital in this pursuit. He utilises orthotics, exercise therapy, neural prolotherapy, laser and shockwave for treating musculoskeletal conditions. Jarrod also enjoys all other aspects of podiatry including general care, ingrown toenails and treating diabetic wounds.

Nathan Smith

My key areas of interest include sports podiatry, management of acute and chronic lower limb injury/conditions, diabetic assessment/management, general care including minor nail surgery. Outside of work I play social/competitve touch football and also enjoy spending time in the gym. Love to travel and enjoy seeking new experiences and seeing new places.

Bernadette Wilson

I am interested in investigating and treating pain as well as providing patient care from nails to surgery and everything in between. I love live theatre and gardening.

Shubha Soans

I am passionate about treating patients with general nail care, wound Care and Biomechanical Injuries.

Outside of work I like Hiking, Badminton, Pilates and reading
